The ArcGIS Data Interoperability server extension can be installed without a user interface by running the setup.exe file from the command prompt.
Installation prerequisites include the following:
- Verify that the system meets the system requirements.
- Obtain an authorization file for the machine on which you are installing the ArcGIS Data Interoperability server extension.
- Sign in as a user with administrative privileges.
In certain scenarios, the ArcGIS Server account can be set to the Local System when ArcGIS Server is installed silently. In these scenarios, it is recommended that you change the ArcGIS Server account by running the Configure ArcGIS Server Account utility.

Complete the following steps to install the ArcGIS Data Interoperability server extension silently:
- Open a Command Prompt window.
- Browse to the directory where the setup.exe file is located.
- Use the following command to install the software silently:
<Path to ArcGIS Data Interoperability server extension>\setup.exe /qb
To install the ArcGIS Data Interoperability server extension in an ArcGIS Server multimachine deployment, run this command on each machine in the site.
