ArcGIS GeoEvent Server includes out-of-the-box connectors for common data formats (text, RSS, Esri feature JSON, and generic JSON) and data communication channels (system file, HTTP, TCP, UDP, WebSocket, and Esri feature service).
In addition to the out-of-the-box capabilities, the ArcGIS GeoEvent Server Gallery provides additional connectors for a variety of third-party devices and subscription data feeds. Some examples that highlight the extensibility of GeoEvent Server include connectors for in-vehicle GPS devices, social media feeds, and IoT hubs.
If you need to connect to a data feed that is not supported by an out-of-the-box connector, you can configure a new connector in ArcGIS GeoEvent Manager using the available adapters and transports, or develop a custom connector using the GeoEvent Server SDK.
