The 11.3 release of ArcGIS Dashboards includes enhancements, bug fixes, and performance improvements. Highlights of the release are listed below.
Time zone
You can set the time zone of your dashboard to process and display temporal data using the device time zone or a specific time zone.
Splash screen and info windows
You can add a splash screen and info windows to your dashboards as a way to promote your organization's identity, convey important information, or communicate updates to users.
Dynamic text
When configuring elements for your dashboard, you can now insert dynamic text in more locations such as the element title and description. It has been expanded to include information from the dashboard item such as the date created, owner, and title, or the locale and time zone information from the running application. Look for the Insert button in the element title and description and other areas that rich text and plain text editing is supported.
HTML editor
The what-you-see-is-what-you-get (WYSIWYG) HTML editor used for configuring the rich text element and each element's title and description has been improved to provide additional control when inserting images, tables, and so on. Existing dashboards are not affected by this change when viewed. When opened for editing, authors of existing dashboards might notice small differences in the HTML generated when entering the editor's Source view.
Web scenes
Dashboard authors can now use the map element to include web scenes and 3D navigation tools in dashboards. In addition, layers in web scenes are supported as data sources for other dashboard visualizations and selectors and can be used to filter other dashboard elements through actions.
Actions
Additional action support is now available on mobile views. You can configure supported dashboard elements, including lists, tables, and a map's operational layers, as the source of actions on your dashboard's mobile view.
Category selectors
Category selectors allow users to filter a dashboard to a portion of the data by selecting one or more categories. You can now use the contains operator when configuring category selectors to support filtering to features that contain multiple categories—for example, multiple choice fields in Survey123.
Map selection
Additional map selection tools are now available. The lasso, circle, and line tools can be enabled to allow dashboard users to draw shapes on the map to make selections.
